Storage for TCU students:
It might seem a little early to be thinking about where you are going to store your dorm room belongings for the summer, but the sooner you have a plan in place the sooner you can relax and focus on other things. Any time of the year, self storage is a popular solution for college students. With our convenient location near TCU, Eagle Self Storage makes good sense for students. We don’t require a long-term commitment, and our flexibility makes us the ideal option for your short term storage needs.
Here are some tips especially for students who are using Eagle Self Storage to store their goods between school years.
If you are storing a mini fridge be sure it is clean, defrosted and dry before putting it into the storage unit. Also clean out and dry your microwave before storing it.
After you fill out your storage paperwork, make sure you take one of our business cards and write your unit number and gate access code on the back of it. Then put it in your wallet for safekeeping, and it will be easy to find when you return to retrieve your things.
When packing your books to store, put them in smaller boxes. This will make them easier to lift and move and stack without hurting yourself. Also, pack your books horizontally, not vertically.
Finally, remember to label each box in storage, and make an inventory list of all that you have in TCU public storage. It doesn’t take long to forget what’s in those boxes.
